Apple announces the $100 million Racial Equity and Justice Initiative’s inaugural beneficiaries.

Apple promised to invest $100 million as part of its Racial Equity and Justice Initiative in June of last year. The Propel Center, a resource centre for historically black colleges and universities, will receive a $25 million donation from the first round. Additionally, money from the round will be used to launch the Apple Developer Academy in Detroit and provide venture capital funding for Black and Brown founders.
